Lien Phillip tallied a game-high 24 points and six rebounds, and the Windsor Lancers men's basketball team recorded a convincing 90-66 victory over the Toronto Varsity Blues on Saturday night.
Phillip was 11-of-17 from the field while
Enrico Diloreto recorded 18 points and was a perfect 9-of-9 from the foul-line.
Josh Collins and
Evan Matthews added 13 and 10 points respectively for the Lancers (3-3), who shot an impressive 49.2% from the field compared to 36.9% from the Blues.
The men outrebounded Toronto 42-36, and claimed 24 points off of turnovers compared to just eight from the home side. Both teams were 9-of-23 from beyond the arc. Windsor held the lead from the opening tip-off, and maintained the advantage to the final buzzer, collecting 16 take-aways and five blocks en route to the victory.
Windsor will return to the St. Denis Centre next weekend to host the Algoma Thunderbirds and Laurentian Voyageurs.
