Box Score The No. 2 Windsor Lancer women's basketball team earned their seventh straight victory with a convincing 86-47 win over the Laurentian Voyageurs on Saturday night at the St. Denis Centre.
The Lancers continue to be tied for first place in the OUA West division with the Western Mustangs with a 7-1 regular season record.
For the second straight night Windsor built a significant lead in the first and all players saw the court for the Blue & Gold, once again giving playing time to their younger athletes.
Jessica Clemencon led the Blue & Gold with 19 points, while
Korissa Williams contributed 18 points and 7 steals and
Miah-Marie Langlois 10 points, 7 steals and 6 assists.
Windsor will close out the first half of the season next weekend when they play host to the Lakehead Thunderwolves for a pair of weekend games. Tip-off is set for 6:00pm on both Friday November 29th and Saturday November 30th at the St. Denis Centre.
Both games will be broadcast LIVE at www.goLancers.tv, while Friday's game will also be broadcast live on TVCogeco.
The Department of Athletics will also be collecting gently worn coats and winter clothes for their holiday clothing drive at both games. Everyone who makes a donation will receive a ballot for a chance to win a Lancer Prize Pack. The winner will be drawn during the men's game vs Lakehead on Saturday Nov 30th.
