No. 2 Lancers cruise to 11th straight win

Jocelyn LaRocque recorded a game-high 15 points in Windsor's win over McMaster on Saturday.
Box Score HAMILTON, Ont.- Five players reached double-digits on the scoreboard, as the Windsor Lancers women's basketball team earned its 11th straight victory, an 83-44 decision over the McMaster Marauders on Saturday afternoon.

Jocelyn LaRocque and Jessica Clemencon each garnered a game-best 15 points, and Korissa Williams picked up her first double-double of the season, tallying 13 points and a game-high 12 rebounds to help Windsor (11-1) move 10 games above the .500 mark. They currently stand alone atop the OUA West division after Laurier's win over Western (10-2) in other conference play on Saturday.

Rookie Cheyanne Roger hit double-digits for the second time this season, recording 10 points along with Tessa Kreiger who also added eight rebounds for the Lancers. Vanessa Bonomo and Stephanie Truelove each had a team-high 10 points for the Marauders (8-4) who sit fourth in the division coming out of the weekend.

The women shot 43.6% from the floor and outrebounded the Marauders 47-28 while tallying 18 points off of the hosts' turnovers. Windsor also tallied 23 assists compared to seven from McMaster. The women held their opponent to a 28.1% efficiency from the floor and did not surrender a single three-pointer throughout the contest. The Windsor defence also limited the Marauders to single digits in the final two quarters of play.

The Lancers will look to continue their hot streak on Wednesday evening when they host the Guelph Gryphons at the St. Denis Centre. Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m. and the game will be available live at GoLancers.TV.
