Men's Basketball earns third straight win

Box Score The No. 4 Lancer men's basketball team defeated the Toronto Varsity Blues 89-75 on Friday night in Toronto, ON.
 
With the win, the Lancers remain undefeated with a 3-0 record, while the Varsity Blues drop to 1-2 on the year.
 
Fourth-year guard Rotimi Osuntola Jr. led all players with 26 points and 15 rebounds, while Evan Matthews ended the game with 16 points and seven rebounds. Bradford Parker notched 15 points and Khalid Abdel-Gabar had 14 in the victory.
 
Toronto got out to an early 11-2 lead in the first three minutes of action, but the Lancers battled back and led 30-14 after the first quarter. Windsor maintained a comfortable lead and held a 46-31 at halftime.
 
A strong effort by the Varsity Blues in the third brought the game within three (59-56) with 1:25 to go in the quarter but the Lancers led 65-58 heading into the final frame.
 
Windsor pulled away through the fourth quarter, thanks to 11 points from Matthews, en route to the 14-point victory.
 
Windsor will face a tough battle on Saturday night when they face the No. 3 Ryerson Rams at the Mattamy Athletic Complex. Tip-off is set for 8:00pm and can be seen live on www.oua.tv.
