Lancers come from behind to defeat Thunderwolves

Box Score After a tough travel day, the No. 5 Lancer men's basketball team came from behind to defeat the Lakehead Thunderwolves 85-76 on Saturday night in Thunder Bay, ON.
 
With the win, the Lancers are 4-1 on the season and in first place in the west division while the Thunderwolves fall to 2-3 and sit in fourth in the central division.
 
Rotimi Osuntola Jr. led a balanced Lancer attack with a game high 22 points and 8 rebounds while Anthony McIntosh led Lakehead with 18 points and 8 rebounds.
 
With the Lancers leading 16-8 in the first quarter, Lakehead went on an 8-0 run late to tie the game at sixteen before Windsor closed out the first ten minutes with their own run to lead by five heading into the second quarter.
 
In the second, the Thunderwolves dominated the floor out-scoring the Lancers 26-14 in the frame to lead 42-35 at the half.
 
The Lancers rebounded in the third quarter doubling up on the Thunderwolves and carrying that momentum in the fourth en route to the nine point victory.
 
Windsor returns home to close out the first half of the season when they host the Brock Badgers and McMaster Marauders next weekend at the St. Denis Centre. Both games are scheduled for 8:00pm on both Friday and Saturday, respectively.
