Box Score The No. 1 Lancer women's basketball team battled a tough Lakehead Thunderwolves squad and came away with an 80-70 win on Saturday night in Thunder Bay, ON.

With the win, the Lancers remain the only undefeated team in the OUA with a 5-0 and are in first place in the OUA West division, while the Thunderwolves fall to 3-2 and are in third in the OUA Central division.

Cheyanne Roger was an efficient 8-of-11 from the field to lead Windsor with 19 points and 9 rebounds, while
Korissa Williams scored 18 points with 6 rebounds and 5 steals.

Jylisa Williams finished with a game high 26 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists for the 'Wolves.

Windsor jumped out early before Lakehead responded with a scoring run of their own in the first quarter. The Lancers led 24-22 after ten minutes of play.

The Thunderwolves, leading 45-43 at the half, continued to apply pressure to the Lancers and built up a 12-point mid-way through the third quarter.

From there, the Lancer defense shut down the Thunderwolves to out-score the hosts 24-8 in the final quarter to secure the win.

Windsor will return home next weekend for their final two games before the Christmas break. They will host the Brock Badgers on Friday night and the McMaster Marauders on Saturday. Both games are scheduled for 6:00pm and can be seen on
