Box Score GUELPH, Ont.- For the second time over their past three games and fourth overall this season, the Windsor Lancers women's basketball team eclipsed the triple-digit mark, as they rolled past the Guelph Gryphons 102-48 on Saturday afternoon to earn their 17th straight regular season victory.
Miah-Marie Langlois tallied a season-high 29 points, going 11-for-15 from the field while adding seven assists, five steals and four rebounds in the victory.
Korissa Williams picked up 21 points and five rebounds, and
Jessica Clemencon grabbed 12 points, three steals and three blocks in the win. Every Lancer who dressed picked up points, as the team combined to shoot 52.7% from the field.
Guelph (6-12) was led by Katherine MacTavish who notched 16 points and eight rebounds in a losing cause. The Gryphons have managed just two wins as the home team this season, and have lost two straight after stringing together three consecutive wins earlier in January. Guelph shot 33.3% as a team, and were outrebounded 37-27 by the Lancers.
Before this season, the three-time defending champions had reached 100 or more points just once since beginning their streak of Bronze Baby Trophys. In their second CIS championship season in 2011-12, the women defeated Waterloo 107-57 on the road February 8. They have now eclipsed 100 points four times in a single season, and still have four conference matches remaining on their schedule before beginning their run for a fourth-straight national title.
Windsor will look to extend their winning streak on Wednesday evening when they host the Western Mustangs at the St. Denis Centre. Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m. and the game will be available live at
