Rotimi Osuntola Jr., the Lancer men's basketball team defeated Waterloo Warriors 79-75 in another nail-biting contest Wednesday night in Waterloo.
Windsor heads into Alumni Weekend with a 6-3 record and are sitting in second place in the OUA west division standings, just two points behind the Western Mustangs. Waterloo falls to 3-7 on the season and are in fourth in the west division.
Osuntola Jr. led the Blue & Gold with the game's only double-double with 19 points and 14 rebounds.
Alex Campbell came off the bench to contribute 17 points while
Mitch Farrell had ten points. Waterloo had a balanced attack with four of five starters reaching double digits.
The game was close right from the opening tip with the lead changing 12 times throughout regulation. The Lancers trailed by a basket at the half but out-rebounded the home team in the second half to earn the win.
Windsor shot 46.9% from the field compared to the Warriors 39.7%, while the Warriors out-shot the Lancers from the free throw line at 70% compared to Windsor's 50%.
