Box Score 2 Sault Ste, Marie, ON - The No. 1 ranked Lancer women's basketball team swept the Algoma Thunderbirds in a weekend doubleheader on the road.
On Friday night the Lancers dominated the T-Birds 95-23 and followed that up with a 74-38 win on Saturday afternoon.
In game one, the Lancers were led by
Korissa Williams with a game high 24 points, 8 steals, and 5 rebounds. Four other Lancers hit double digits as
Emily Prevost came off the bench to score 17 points, while
Jocelyn LaRocque 14.
Andrea Kiss also had a solid game with 13 points, while
Cheyanne Roger had 12 points and a game high 8 rebounds.
On Saturday, Windsor saw another stellar performance from Prevost who had a game high 22 points and 9 rebounds.
Caitlyn Longmuir chipped in 15 points and 4 rebounds, while Kiss and LaRocque each had 13 points.
Windsor will return home on Wednesday night for their final regular season game when they host the Waterloo Warriors at 6:00pm. Prior to the game, the Lancers will honour their graduating seniors Williams, LaRocque, and Kristine Lalonde.
