North Bay, ON - The Lancer men's basketball team defeated the Nipissing Lakers 91-76 on Saturday night in North Bay, sweeping the weekend road trip.

With the win, the No.6 ranked Lancers are now 11-5 on the season, and currently sit in first place in the OUA West division.

On Saturday in North Bay, the Lancers dressed just six players and built up a 14-point lead at the half, before extending it to a 25 point victory. Windsor finished the game on 51.6% shooting percentage, with four players hitting double digits in points.

The Blue & Gold were led by
Alex Campbell, who scored 21 of his game-high 29 points in the first half. Second year guard
Mike Rocca also had 24 points, and fifth year forward
Evan Matthews was 8 for 11 from field goal range en route to 18 points and 7 rebounds.

After trailing by 14 at half-time, the Lakers looked poised to make a comeback as they went on a 6-0 run midway through the third quarter, but back-to-back layups by Campbell put the Lancers back up by 66-54 and they never looked back.

The Lakers were led by first year forward Marcos Clennon, who had 21 points in the contest. Third year guard Jordon Campbell also contributed 18 points, and first year guard Marcus Lewis had 17 points coming off the bench.

The Lancers will continue their road trip, as they head to Sault Ste. Marie next weekend for a double-header with the Algoma Thunderbirds. Games are Friday, February 13th at 8:00 pm, followed by Saturday, February 14th at 4:00 pm. Both games can be seen live on
