The Lancer men's basketball team fell to the No. 4 Brock Badgers 86-79 on Saturday afternoon in St. Catharine's.

With the loss, the Lancers move to 4-4 on the season and remain tied for first place in the OUA west division with the Laurier Golden Hawks, while the Badgers continue to remain in the top spot in the OUA central division with a 6-1 record.

Alex Campbell led all scorers with 26 points and 7 rebounds, while rookie
Isiah Osborne chipped in 23 points and eight rebounds. Â

Brock jumped out to an early 11-2 lead and held a 19-14 lead after one quarter. The Badgers offense continued to roll in the second quarter as they went up 43-23 with just under two minutes left in the half.

In the third, Brock extended their lead to as many as 21 points, before the Lancers went on a 18-7 run to bring it within 10 points 59-49 with two minutes left in the quarter.

With the Badgers leading 72-55 early in the fourth, Windsor answered with an 8-0 run, cutting the lead to single digits, 72-63 with 4:39 left.

Brock went up by 14 points (79-65) with 2:08 remaining. The Lancers offense answered right back with a 11-2 run, to make it a five-point game (81-76) with 35 seconds left. The Badgers knocked down their free throws down the stretch to secure the home victory.

Windsor will look to rebound on Friday night when they travel up the 401 to face the Guelph Gryphons before returning home on Saturday January 16th when they host the Algoma Thunderbirds at 8:00pm.Â
