The Lancer men's basketball team defeated the Algoma Thunderbirds 87-80 on Saturday night at the St. Denis Centre.

With the win, the Lancers improve to 5-5 and sit atop the west division standings, while the Thunderbirds fall to 1-9 and sit in fifth the division.

Coming off their first win of the season on Friday night against Western, Algoma came out confident, strong, and led the game 37-34 at the half. Despite the Lancers shooting an outstanding 46% from behind the three point line in the half, Algoma's Reng Gum had four blocks in the half to help Algoma maintain the lead.

In the second half, Windsor pulled ahead off of some excellent 51% shooting from the field. Senior
Alex Campbell once again led the Blue & Gold with 21 points.
Marko Kovac put up an impressive 17 points while
Isiah Osborne and
Tyler Persaud had 15 and 12 points, respectively.
