The Lancer women's basketball team remains undefeated following a 73-56 win over the Laurier Golden Hawks on Saturday afternoon in Waterloo.

Laurier jumped out to a quick 7-2 lead, however, the rest of the half belonged to the Lancers as they outscored the hosts 47-23 to take a 19-point lead into the break.
In the third quarter, the Hawks pushed back as they closed the quarter on a 12-5 run, cutting Windsor's lead to 59-47.
Midway through the fourth quarter, Laurier managed to pull within 11 points but Windsor would lock down their defence and close the game on an 8-2 run to come away with the win.
Leading the way for Windsor was forward
Cheyanne Roger who used her size advantage to finish the contest with a double-double of 23 points and 13 rebounds.Â
Emily Prevost also had a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds as Windsor outrebounded Laurier 61-36 on the afternoon.
Laurier was led by Irena Rynkiewicz who had a team-high 14 points along with seven rebounds, two steals and two blocks. Nicole Morrison chipped in with 10 points, nine rebounds and five assists.
The Lancers improve to 6-0 heading into the last week of competition before the holiday break, while the loss drops Laurier to 5-2 on the season.
Windsor now travels to Toronto on Wednesday to take on the Varsity Blues at 6:00pm at Varsity Centre.
