Isiah Osborne sank a free throw with three seconds left in overtime to lift the Lancers to an 86-85 win over the York Lions on Friday night in Toronto.
Â
The win improves the Lancer record to 10-6 as they sit in first place in the OUA west division heading into the final weeks of the regular season, while the Lions fall to 3-12 in the east.
Â
The Lancers led by a narrow 38-35 margin at the half, and traded points with the Lions throughout the third quarter. A last second three-pointer from
Marko Kovac gave Windsor a three-point, 59-56, lead heading into the final frame.
Â
The fourth quarter was just as narrow as the third, as both teams hustled to try and edge out the decision. York's Jon Dulmage hit a long range jump shot and a lay up to tie the game at 78-78 and send it into extra time.
Â
Alex Campbell tallied an impressive 29 points, scoring 10 field goals, two three-pointers, and seven free throws, while Kovac had 24 points including six three-pointers.
Â
The Lancers will now travel to Kingston to face the Queen's Gaels on Saturday night at 8:00pm. The game can been seen live at
