Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Men's Basketball edges Lions in overtime

Isiah Osborne sank a free throw with three seconds left in overtime to lift the Lancers to an 86-85 win over the York Lions on Friday night in Toronto.

The win improves the Lancer record to 10-6 as they sit in first place in the OUA west division heading into the final weeks of the regular season, while the Lions fall to 3-12 in the east.

The Lancers led by a narrow 38-35 margin at the half, and traded points with the Lions throughout the third quarter. A last second three-pointer from Marko Kovac gave Windsor a three-point, 59-56, lead heading into the final frame.

The fourth quarter was just as narrow as the third, as both teams hustled to try and edge out the decision. York's Jon Dulmage hit a long range jump shot and a lay up to tie the game at 78-78 and send it into extra time.

Alex Campbell tallied an impressive 29 points, scoring 10 field goals, two three-pointers, and seven free throws, while Kovac had 24 points including six three-pointers.

The Lancers will now travel to Kingston to face the Queen's Gaels on Saturday night at 8:00pm. The game can been seen live at www.oua.tv.
