The Lancer men's volleyball team split a pair of road games in Kingston this weekend.

The Blue & Gold defeated the RMC Paladins 3-0 (25-16, 25-17, 26-24) before falling 3-1 (18-25, 25-22, 19-25, 16-25) to the Queen's Gaels on Sunday afternoon.

With the split, the Lancers are 7-11 on the season and sit just two points behind the York Lions for the final playoff spot with two games left in the OUA regular season.

In Saturday's victory, the Lancers led a balanced attack and dominated the host Paladins from the first serve.
John Moate finished the game with 10 kills and 11 points, while
Brad Gyemi contributed 9 kills for 12 points.

Josh Edwards had another outstanding game with 5 solo blocks to go along with 5 kills and 11 points. Defensively,
Shawn Reaume led both teams with 16 digs.

Across town on Sunday, the Lancers played with a shortened roster of only eight players against the second place Gaels.

Gyemi had another standout performance for the Blue & Gold leading the way on both sides of the ball with 18 kills, 12 digs and 18.5 points. In his second weekend with the team,
Fabian Buck contributed 14.5 points on 11 kills, while
Josh Edwards also had 11 kills for 12.5 points.

Windsor will hit the road for their final weekend of regular season competition as they battle for the final spot in the OUA post season. The Lancers will face the Ryerson Rams and Toronto Varsity Blues in Toronto. Â
