The Lancer women's volleyball team closed out the OUA regular season with a pair of road losses to the Ryerson Rams and No. 2 Toronto Varsity Blues over the weekend.

On Friday night, the Lancers were swept 3-0 (21-25, 19-25, 17-25) by the Ryerson Rams before falling 3-1 (17-25, 25-21, 14-25, 17-25) to the Blues on Saturday night.

Windsor finished the season with an 11-8 record and a third place finish in the OUA west division.

Against the Rams, the Blue & Gold were led by
Jade Ziebarth with 13 kills and 13.5 points, while
Shannon Dean finished the game with 6 kills and 10 points. Defensively,
Emma Wylie and
Emily Durand finished the game with 9 digs.

After dropping the first set against the undefeated Varsity Blues on Saturday, the Lancers came back to earn a hard fought 25-21 set win to hand the Blues only their third set loss of the entire season.

In her final regular season game with the Blue & Gold, Dean once again led the way for Windsor, finishing the game with 10 kills, 12 points and two solo blocks. Durand and
Carleigh Bailey each had very strong defensive games with 18 and 17 digs, respectively.

The Lancers will now face either the Western Mustangs or McMaster Marauders in the OUA quarter-finals. The Mustangs and Marauders are tied for first with identical 16-3 records, and will have their positioning determined via tie breaker.
