The Lancer men's hockey team dropped a 5-1 decision to the Western Mustangs on Saturday afternoon in London.
Â
With the loss, the Lancers drop to 13-11-3 and are tied for fourth place in the west division standings with the Waterloo Warriors. The win improved the Mustangs record to 17-9-0 as they sit in second place, just two points back of the division leading Lions.
Â
The Mustangs built a 4-0 lead before the Lancers were able to penetrate through Mustang goaltender Greg Dodds.
Mike Christou accepted a pass from
Dylan Denomme and spoiled the potential Western shut-out at 10:08 of the third period to score the Lancers lone goal of the game.
Â
With only three points separating four teams in the standings, Windsor's final regular season game against the York Lions in Toronto will be an important decision maker in where the teams will fall in the standings.

The game is scheduled for Friday February 12th at 7:30pm and can be seen live at
