The Lancer men's basketball season came to an end on Saturday following a 90-77 loss to the No. 2 Ottawa Gee Gees in the OUA bronze medal game at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto.
Â
In the first quarter, Windsor's
Mike Rocca got hot from beyond the arc and was a big reason why the two sides were tied at 19 after ten minutes. However, successful from distance and strong ball movement had the Gee-Gees up 44-38 at halftime.
Â
Ottawa used their depth down the stretch to keep the defensive pressure up on the Lancers. Nine different Gee-Gees played at least ten minutes with fresh legs minimize the damage of Rocca and Lancer regular season leading scorer
Alex Campbell.
Â
Campbell finished with a game-high 24 points, while OUA Rookie of the Year
Isiah Osborne added 20 points, and Rocca finished with 17.
