Undefeated Lancers hold their own against WLU & Warriors

The Lancers continue to remain undefeated after a pair of games against the Laurier Golden Hawks and Waterloo Warriors in Waterloo, ON this past weekend.
 
With a 1-1 draw against Laurier on Saturday and a 3-0 shut-out win over Waterloo on Sunday, the Lancers are tied for second place in the OUA west division with a 4-0-3 record.
 
On Saturday it was a tight contest all afternoon, and was characterized by strong ball movement from both sides. After 25 scoreless minutes, Lancer midfielder Abby Hunt gave the Lancers a 1-0 lead over the Hawks. However, within two minutes of the Lancer goal, Tierney Dunhan replied for Laurier and closed out the scoring for the contest.
 
Becca Feurth led the way for the Blue & Gold in Sunday's shut-out victory. Feurth scored a pair of goals, with Jazmin Martin adding a third goal for the visiting Lancers.
 
The Lancers are back home for a pair of games against the York Lions on Saturday night at 6:00pm, and the Guelph Gryphons at 1:00pm on Sunday.
