The Lancer men's basketball team defeated the York Lions 83-78 on Friday night at the St. Denis Centre.
Windsor is now tied for first in the west division with the Laurier Golden Hawks, while the Lions remaining at the bottom of the east division standings following the loss.
Windsor shot 39% in the first half to take a dominating 45-28 lead at the break, and were led by
Luke Allin, who was playing his first home game with the Blue & Gold, with 14 points and two rebounds.
With the Lancers up 64-48 heading into the fourth quarter, the Lions staged a furious comeback and brought the score within four points with eleven second remaining.
Mike Rocca had a tremendous second half and led the team with 21 points and nine rebounds.
Micqueel Martin came off the bench to contribute 16 points, while Allin, who was double teamed for the entire second half, finished with the game with 15.
