A pair of second half goals lead Mustangs over Lancers

The Lancer men's soccer team lost a heartbreaking game 2-0 to the host Western Mustangs on Saturday afternoon in London.
 
With the loss, the Lancers move to 4-7-1 and sit in sixth place in the OUA west division while the Mustangs improve to 6-2-2 and sit two spots above Windsor in fourth.
 
GAME ACTION
After both teams recorded two shots each in the first half, Western controlled play in the second, registering nine shots and limiting the Lancers to none in the second half.
 
Braeden Gee scored both goals for the hosts, with the first goal coming in the 49th minute to give the Mustangs a 1-0 lead. His second came over 40 minutes later when he capitalized on a ball from Rudy James to make the final score 2-0 for Western.
 
Kyle Vizirakis made five saves in net for the Blue & Gold, while Western's Kody Thomson earned the shutout in net for the Mustangs.
 
UP NEXT
Windsor will now break for Thanksgiving and return to action on Saturday October 14th when they host the Waterloo Warriors at Alumni Field.
