The Lancer men's soccer team fell to the York Lions 2-1 on Saturday afternoon in Toronto.
Â
The Lancers challenged the undefeated Lions at the beginning of the game showing an incredibly strong defensive effort, foiling all of the Lions' attempts to score. However, that all came to an end with a goal by Jonathan Lao in the 34th minute. Three minutes later, Sergiu Anton made it 2-0.
Â
The Lancers saw their first goal of the game halfway through the second half. Nathan Cummings scored following an intense few moments of play that left Lions' goalkeeper Andrew D'Souza off-guard, but the one goal was not enough to earn a point against the Lions.

Windsor will close out the regular season on Sunday when they take on the Guelph Gryphons at 3:15pm in Guelph.
