The Lancer women's hockey team opened the season with a 5-0 loss to Nipissing on Friday night on the road. 

Nipissing held a 1-0 lead in th first period before scoring two goals in each of the next periods to earn the win. 

Windsor heads to South Windsor Arena next weekend for their first set of games at home. They host the Toronto Varsity Blues on Friday night at 7:30pm and the Brock Badgers n Saturday night, also at 7:30pm.
