The Lancer women's hockey team is still looking for their first win of the season after a pair of losses at South Windsor Arena.

Windsor dropped a close 3-2 decision to the Toronto Varsity Blues on Friday night before falling to the Brock Badgers 4-1 on Saturday afternoon.

Friday vs Toronto
U of T came out aggressive and both goalies were under constant duress with counter attack after counter attack in the Friday night showdown. The Blues managed two break through the barrier and scored two goals on Lancer goaltender
Molly Jenkins to hold a two goal lead at the break.

In the second, the Lancers solved first year goaltender Madaline Albert, with Munda Fadel banging in a rebound effort on the powerplay to cut into the Toronto lead.
In the third, Lancer defenceman
Larissa Borowiec evened the game at the 4:31 mark, creating the chance for last minute heroics for both teams. However it was Toronto's Meagan O'Brien who delivered to secure the visitors win and keep them undefeated to start to the season.

Saturday vs Brock
After a scoreless opening period, Brock answered first, just one minute in the second as Amanda Ieradi gave the Badgers a 1-0 lead. With just five minutes remaining in the second period, Brock rookie Paige Cahoon recorded her first regular season goal in a Brock Badgers uniform to give the visitors a two goal lead heading into the final frame.

Eight minutes into the third period, Cahoon would register her second goal of the night to give the Badgers a 3-0 lead.Â

With three minutes left in regulation, Fadel would break the shutout beating Brock goaltender Jensen Murphy for her second goal of the season.

With 1:13 left in regulation Kimberly Brown added an insurance marker for her second goal of the weekend.

In goal, Murphy turned aside 32 of the 33 shots she faced for the victory. Winsor's
Morgan Farrow collected 29 saves in the loss.
