The Lancer men's volleyball team swept their final home games of the regular season this weekend at the St. Denis Centre.

The Blue & Gold defeated the Toronto Varsity Blues 3-1 (25-16, 23-25, 25-19, 25-21) on Friday night before sweeping the Trent Excalibur 3-0 (25-17, 25-17, 25-23) on Saturday.

The two wins improve to 4-11 and into fifth place in the west division standings.

FRIDAY
First year left side Piece Johnson led the Lancer attack with 14 kills and 16.5 points, while second year
John Moate had 11 kills and 17.5 points.

Brad Gyemi also had a strong game offensively with 10 kills and 12.5 points. First year setter
Nolan Langley registered 32 set assists and 7 digs while senior Gabe Burlacu led the way defensively with 9 digs.

SATURDAY
The Lancers used a balanced attack to sweep the first year Excalibur.

Johnson again led the Lancers with 8 kills and 8 points, while Gyemi contributed six and Moate put up five.

Langley again had a solid game with 24 assists, and defensively
Roland Bouchard and
Adam Child led the way with four digs each.

UP NEXT
The Lancers will look to keep their win streak alive in their final weekend of the regular season next week on the road. Windsor will face the York Lions on Friday February 24th and then close out the year on Saturday at Nipissing.
