Facing the Guelph Gryphons just four days after a late night Labour Day contest, the Lancer football program fell 81-10 to the host Gryphons on Saturday afternoon in Guelph.

The Lancers are now 0-3 on the season as they finally return home to host the undefeated Western Mustangs on Saturday September 16th at 1:00pm at Alumni Field.

STATS
Marvin Gaynor led the Lancer offense with 161 yards on 19 carries and a touchdown.

Quarterback Colten Allen went 10-for-17 and 115 yards, while
Alex Bornais averaged 18.3 yards in the air to finish the game with 55 total yards.

Defensively,
Matt Gayer led the way with 6.5 total tackles, followed by
Daniel Metcalfe with 5.5 tackles.

GAME FLOW
Coming off of two overtime losses, the Gryphons came out with something to prove and put up 33 points before the Lancers'
Clark Green hit a 36-yard field goal in the second quarter to get the Lancers on the board.

Windsor's lone touchdown came early in the fourth quarter when Gaynor charged 70-yards down the field into the endzone.
