Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women's Soccer shut out by Mustangs

Coming off of two straight draws, the Lancer women's soccer team were looking to get back in the win column when they travelled to London on Saturday to face the 8-1 Western Mustangs.

Playing the first place Mustangs represented one of the toughest challenges the Lancers would face season, and Western displayed why they lead the division with a decisive 3-0 victory.

Windsor is now 3-3-6 on the year and sit in sixth place in the OUA west division standings.

GAME ACTION
The Mustangs controlled the pace of play for most of the game, holding the Lancers without a shot on goal for the entire first half. The Mustangs broke the scoreless tie in the game during the 30th minute with a goal from Kendra Marlatt. The Lancers went into the break down a manageable 1-0.

Right out of the break however, the lead became a little less manageable when Western's Jenna White found the back of the net in the 46th minute. Down 2-0 the next goal would have to be a Lancer goal if Windsor was going to come back. In the 56th minute Julia Crnjac would end any comeback hopes for the Lancers, scoring Western's third and final goal of the match.

UP NEXT
