The Windsor Lancer men's basketball team had their work cut out for them Saturday night in St. Catherine's. Facing the division leading No.2 Brock Badgers, the Lancers were hoping to measure up to one of the best teams in the province. Unfortunately, the Badgers proved exactly why the top spot in the OUA west belongs to them, defeating the Blue & Gold 83-54.

GAME STATS
The Lancers offence was held in check for the entire game, shooting only 30 per cent from the field. The Badgers shot 41 per cent from the field.

The Lancers were also beaten on the glass as the Blue and Gold could only bring down 38 rebounds to the Badgers' 46.

Brock's Cassidy Ryan led all scorers with 18 points for the Badgers; the Lancers were paced by
Marcus Jones who scored 14 points for Windsor.

GAME FLOW
The Badgers defense swarmed the Lancers and the Badgered jumped early and began to build a steadily growing lead. In the second quarter was when the game blew open as the Badgers only allowed six Lancer points while scoring 25 of their own to power out to a commanding 48-27 half time lead.

In the second half it was more of the same as three Badgers were in double digits scoring as the lead grew for the home team. Despite the time to make adjustments during the break, the deficit was too big and the Badgers too good as the Lancers fall 83-54 loss at Brock.
