The Windsor women's hockey team was in Kitchener on Saturday afternoon as they took on the Laurier Golden Hawks. With the playoffs out of sight for both teams, Saturday's game was all about pride as the Golden Hawks were eager to avenge a 4-0 loss to the Lancers back in November. Unfortunately for the Lancers, Laurier got their revenge as they breezed past Windsor 4-1.

Both Goalies made 25 saves on the night. Windsor's
Morgan Farrow faced 29 shots while Laurier's Hannah Miller faced 26.

The Lancers racked up 14 penalty minutes while the Golden Hawks only served 12 minutes in the sin bin.

The Golden Hawks' Kaitlin Saxton recorded 3 points in the win, picking up two goals and an assist for Laurier.

GAME FLOW
Laurier wasted no time scoring on the Lancers as Kaitlyn Hatzes got one past
Morgan Farrow just 36 seconds into the game. Â Later in the first period the Lancers were able to draw even when
Reagan Kaufman scored off assists from
Taylor Conte and
Muna Fadel. The Lancers were able to bring the tie game into the locker room for the first intermission.

The deadlock was broken 11 and a half minutes into the second when Kaitlin Saxton was able to get the puck past Farrow with help from Aynsley Harrison Emily Woodhouse. Â About five minutes later, Saxton found the net again with an assist from Harrison as well. The Golden Hawks sealed the game with a goal 30 seconds later when Carly AuCoin netted the Hawks' fourth and final goal of assists from Rebecca Haddaway and Julia Talman.
