The Lancer men's basketball team fell 106-82 to the McMaster Marauders Wednesday night in Hamilton.
Windsor is now 4-7 in conference play and is tied for third place in the OUA west division with the Algoma Thunderbirds.
STATS
The Lancers had four players hit double digits with
Anthony Zrvnar leading the way with 20 points and two blocks.
Rookie
Chris Poloniato was next with 16 points,
Lucas Orlita had 12, and
Marcus Jones rounded it out with 10 points and six rebounds.
The Marauders had a balanced attack with seven players scoring more than 10 points, and were led by Miles Seward with a game high 21 points.
GAME FLOW
The Lancers started the game with plenty of energy and with the momentum in their favour at the end of the first quarter, held a narrow 19-18 lead after ten minutes of play.
Following a 15-4 run in the opening four minutes of the second quarter, the Marauders built a 10-point lead which would largely hold into the break, with McMaster holding a 45-36 advantage at halftime.
Windsor continued to struggle against the surging Marauders throughout the second half, and coupled with some foul trouble, the Lancers were unable to catch the hosts, falling 106-82.
