After dominating Friday's game, the Lancers men's hockey team split their matchup this weekend with a 3-2 loss against the UOIT Ridgebacks on Saturday. Tensions were high between the two teams, with aggressive play seen on both ends of the ice.

Alex Friesen were the goal contributors for the Lancers, and UOIT's Mike Robinson led the game with two points.

GAME FLOW
The Lancers came out hard from the puck drop, with
Alex Friesen starting the scoring early by putting the first points on the board just over five minutes into the game.

Minutes later, UOIT's Bryce Fiske got a game misconduct for head contact when he came up high on his hit against Windsor's
Ethan Skinner, giving the Lancers a man advantage for five minutes.

The blue and gold capitalized on the opportunity with
Ian Parker finding the back of the net, continuing Windsor's impressive power play performance from Friday.

UOIT caught some momentum at the beginning of the second period, with the Ridgebacks quickly finding the back of the net, making it a one-point game.

Tensions grew between the teams, with big hits appearing on both sides of the ice. The period saw a total of 20 penalty minutes, including a 10-minute misconduct by Parker.

Both teams saw several scoring opportunities, but it was UOIT that put the puck past Windsor's
Jonathan Reinhart six minutes into the third period, tying the game.

UOIT kept the pressure on the Lancers, scoring their third goal with seven minutes left in the period, giving them their first lead of the game.

The last five minutes saw heavy pressure from the blue and gold, but Ridgeback goaltender, Michael Bullion was able to hold them off for a 3-2 victory over the Lancers.
