The Lancer men's volleyball team lost a tough 3-2 (23-25, 16-25, 25-23, 25-20, 11-15) game to the Waterloo Warriors Tuesday night at the St Denis Centre.
The loss keeps the Lancers in third place in the OUA west division standings heading into their final game of the season, while the Warriors earned their fifth straight win and improved to 9-7 and sit in fourth.
Brad Gyemi led all scorers with 22.5 points on 18 kills.
John Moate and
Pierce Johnson each had 11 kills to put up 14.5 and 13.5 points, respectively, while
Roland Bouchard also hit double digits with 10 kills.
Waterloo's Brad Cok was top scorer for the visitors with 17 kills and 19 points. Teammate Aiden Simone was right behind him on the score sheet with 16 kills and 18.5 points. Simone also led the Warriors defensively with 18 kills.
