The No. 8 Lancer women's basketball team's season came to an end Wednesday night following a 61-48 loss to the No. 1 Carleton Ravens in the OUA semi-finals.
Â
Wednesday's game was the Lancers eleventh straight appearance in the OUA final four.
Â
GAME STATS
Nyamouch Teny led the Blue & Gold with 13 points in 24 minutes of play, while
Carly Steer came off the bench to put up 12 points. Playing in her final game for the Lancers, fifth year senior
Emily Prevost finished the game with six points and a team high eight rebounds.
Â
Carleton was led by Catherine Traer with 13 points, while Nicole Gilmour and Elizabeth Leblanc each had ten in the win.
Â
In a relatively low scoring game, both teams shot poorly throughout the contest with Windsor hitting only 32.7% of their shots and the Ravens only 33.9%.
Â
GAME FLOW
Neither team could get anything going in the first half and the game stayed relatively close heading into halftime, with the Ravens leading 24-22.
Â
First year rookie
Olivia Osamusali got into foul trouble early in the third and as a result didn't see a lot of court time in the second half. With Osamusali no longer blocking their shots and passing attempts, the Ravens found their footing and went on a 12-point run to open up the lead and never looked back.
Â
Windsor got the game within four points a few times throughout the half, but were never able to get the go-ahead basket to propel them ahead of the top ranked Ravens.

The Lancers would like to thank all of their family, friends, and fans for their support throughout the 2017-18 season. Stay tuned to
