Game Recap: Men's Volleyball |

Lancers divide weekend road trip

The Lancer men's volleyball team swept the Trent Excalibur 3-0 (25-12, 25-16, 25-15) on Friday night before falling to the Ryerson Rams in five tough sets 3-2 (20-25, 22-25, 25-23 25-23, 8-15) Saturday in Toronto.

The split keeps the Lancers in third place in the west division standings.

FRIDAY @ Trent
On Friday, the Blue & Gold had a balanced attack against the host Excalibur. Dominating the game right from the get-go, Windsor was led by Brad Gyemi with 9 kills and 2 aces, John Moate with 6 kills and Roland Bouchard with 5.

Defensively, Windsor held the Excalibur to just 28 points overall and just 23 kills in the game.

SATURDAY @ Ryerson
Saturday against Ryerson was a bit more challenging for the Lancers. Down two sets to none, the Lancers battled their way back winning sets three and four to force a deciding fifth set.

Despite the rally, the Lancers were not able to hold off the Rams and fell 15-8 in the final set.

Windsor was once again led by Gyemi with 20 kills and two aces. Moate had another strong day with 17 kills and five blocks, and Pierce Johnson put up 14.

Nolan Langley had an amazing 54 assists in the match.
