The Lancer men's soccer team earned four points in their first weekend on home turf. Windsor walked away with a 3-0 on Friday night against the Brock Badgers before tying the McMaster Marauders 1-1 on Saturday afternoon.

Windsor is now 1-2-1 on the season and is tied for fifth place with the Guelph Gryphons in the OUA west division.

FRIDAY vs BROCK
Windsor came out of the gate strong and controlled the ball right from the opening whistle. The Blue & Gold had multiple opportunities through the first half but were unable to score on Brock's Shawn Johnson until the 35th minute when
Jamar Redhead scored unassisted to put the Lancers up 1-0 heading into the break.

In the second half, Windsor continued to dominate the field and scored a pair of goals just minutes apart to take control of the game and never look back.
Stefan Milidrag put the Lancers up 2-0 in the 49th minute before
Celso Carapau scored an amazing goal off a free kick just three minutes later in the 52nd.

SATURDAY vs McMASTER
The Lancers faced the first place Marauders on Saturday in a spirited game that took over three hours to play.

The first half saw a number of scoring opportunities but both goaltenders made some impressive plays to keep their opponents off the board. Lancer goaltender
Greg Chac finished the game with two saves.

After a scoreless first half, the Marauders were the first to get on the board with an unassisted goal from Jospeh Guindy.

With 30 minutes remaining and the visitors leading by one, the game was delayed due to weather and both teams took shelter to wait out the storm. When they returned to the field, the Lancers found the boost they needed and tied the game in the 81st minute with Milidrag's second goal in as many days.

UP NEXT
The Lancers will hit the road next weekend for a pair of games against the Algoma Thunderbirds. Kick-off is scheduled for 3:00pm on both Saturday September 8th & Sunday September 9th.
