Â
Windsor showed signs of life in the third that they didn't in the second quarter. Despite the offensive success for the Lancers their defense was struggling to contain the Badgers and their ball movement. The Badgers went into the final quarter with the lead.
Â
The Lancers however, after hanging with the Badgers for the whole game weren't easy to shake and stayed within striking distance. Trailing by two, Chris Polianato went straight to the rim for the game tying layup to tie the game and send it into overtime.
Â
In the extra frame, the Lancers had their best shooting quarter of the contest going 46 per cent from the field and holding the Badgers to a paltry 17 per cent. With the Lancers defense swarming and their offense hitting their shots, Windsor pulled off the gutsy upset in overtime, 98-93.
