Owen Henderson and his 13 points.
Â

Â
GAME FLOW
The Lancers offense got off to a tough start in the first quarter. The Gryphons did a solid job forcing the Lancers into bad shots and getting the looks they wanted on the offensive end. The Lancers did a solid job on defense inside but were undone by giving up 6 of 10 shots from deep, leading to a 22-16 deficit for the blue and gold after one quarter of play.
Â
Throughout the second, the Lancer offense remained inefficient while the Gryphons began to work inside. After 20 minutes, Guelph held a 41-29 lead.
Â
The break at halftime did little change the grip the Gryphons had on the game. Guelph stymied a Lancer offense that had been surging in recent games and kept the home team scratching their heads in the half court.
Â
Despite the Lancers best efforts and adjustments they couldn't solve the Gryphons' defense. Their shooting picked up the fourth quarter and it looked briefly as though the Lancers may stage a comeback late in the game; unfortunately, despite Kennedy's fourth double-double in a row, the Lancers dropped the contest 84-71 to the Gryphons.
