The Windsor Lancers and McMaster Marauders looked as closely matched as you'd expect from two teams in a tight playoff race. The barrage of rain didn't dampen the intensity as both squads battled to a scoreless tie Friday night at Alumni Field.
 
The blue and gold controlled just about every facet of play as the game went on, but neither team seemed to be able to solve the scoring enigma, each settling for a 0-0 draw.
 
The game looked to be chess match early on as the Lancers and Marauders jockey for playoff positioning. Kaneen Fells played stellar in net early to keep the Lancers tied as they looked to find their offensive footing. Windsor got their first real good chance in the 22nd minute but the they were denied on the chance and sat tied at 0—0. The Windsor attack broke through again in the 35th minute but McMaster's Tristan Joyce was ready, making multiple spectacular saves to keep the game tied at zero. Despite a couple more chances for the hosts, however, they were stuck with the 0-0 draw at the break.
 
The Lancers continued to dictate the pace, and produce some quality looks but, like the first half, the first goal of the game was as elusive as ever. As the rain doused the field, both teams intensified their battles. Jonathan Agapito got the best chance of the game, beating Joyce, but hit the crossbar in heartbreaking fashion. The Lancers continued to own the pace and passing but still couldn't cash in as the final minutes drew near as both teams struggled to make sure they came out on top. However, this game went to the keepers as both sides settled for a 0-0 draw.
