The blue and gold shot 55 per cent from deep and 57 per cent from the field while holding the Golden Hawks to just 15 per cent from the field in the third quarter. Offensively, the first-year backcourt duo of Denys and Carey continued to give defenders problem from beyond the arc, combining for 7-for-15 shooting from behind the line. Though the Hawks made it close the Lancers proved too much as the blue and gold took the game 79-60.
Â
QUOTE FROM THE COACH
"I was happy to see more ball movement in the second half, I thought the first half was quite poor," said head coach Chantal Vallée. "The second half we got the ball moving and we made some shots! Look in the first half we shot the three at 11 per cent, in the second half 47 per cent in the second half, that's what made the difference, we had to make our shots."
