Men's Hockey loses first road game of the season

The Lancer men's hockey team lost their first road game of the season Saturday night, falling 2-1 in a shootout to the York Lions in Toronto.
 
The loss moves the blue and gold to 7-1-0-1 on the season, yet they remain in first place in the west division standings.
 
GAME FLOW
The first period of the game ended scoreless for both teams. The second period saw Brennan Feasey score his second goal in as many games in the first three minutes of period, bringing the game to 1-0 lead for the visiting team. The Lions responded with three minutes remaining in the period as Nik Malenica got a shot past the Lancer goaltender Jonathan Reinhart.
 
The Lions and Lancers finished the second tied 1-1 and continued to be tied at the end of the third period, though the Lancers fired 15 shots on goal and the Lions had five. They went into overtime not being able to get a goal past one another.
 
The Lions and the Lancers continued the game in a shootout round where the Lions took the win.
