The Windsor Lancers ended their season Saturday afternoon with a three-set loss to the Ryerson Rams in the quarter finals of the Quigley Cup playoffs. The Lancers struggled from the onset against the number one seed in the OUA West and never quite found an answer, losing 3-0 (15-25,17-25, 10-25).

Amie Slawson led the game in digs with 15. The Rams were led by Lauren Wong who had 11.

GAME FLOW
Things started in forgettable fashion for the blue and gold as the Rams opened up the first set with a 7-0 run. The Lancers struggled to score, earning both of their early points to Ryerson errors. It wasn't until the after the technical timeout, trailing 16-4, that the Lancers started to look comfortable. The Lancers rattled off a small run to bring the deficit back to single digits. Windsor looked competitive at the end of the first set but ultimately lost, 25-15, going down 1-0 to the Rams.

The Rams got out to a similar start in the second set but the Lancers responded, after falling down 6-2 they made it a one point set and kept the Rams on their toes, tying the set at 10. The Lancers offense found life as
Hannah Camrass gave the blue and gold its first lead of the match. Unfortunately, Windsor couldn't hold the lead into the technical, trailing 16-13. Despite the competitiveness of the set the Lancers couldn't replicate their late set success and lost the set 25-17.

The third set was dominated by the home side Rams, who were looking to close the match out. After showing a lot of compete in the second set, the blue and gold looked for answers at the third technical down 16-6. Things didn't get much better for the Lancers who lost the set 25-10, dropping the match 3-0 and ending their season.
