GAME FLOW
The Lancers got out to a good start in the first, keeping pace with the Gee-Gees in the game's opening minutes. As the quarter wore one however, the Lancers began to struggle to score while Ottawa's offence was a model of efficiency, going 11/21 from the field and making 40 per cent of their three pointers. After one quarter, the Lancers were down 26-13. The second quarter was no reprieve for Windsor as the Gee-Gees continued to score in bunches, pushing their lead as far as 20 at points in the quarter. At the break the Lancers were down 46-31, with a chance to make up some ground in the second half.
Â
Though the Lancers shot better in the second half, they were still having trouble containing the Gee-Gees offence. Ottawa's ball movement proved to be too much for Windsor with Ottawa scoring 25 in the third quarter, pushing their lead further. The Lancers battled hard but in the fourth the Gee-Gees really asserted themselves, pushed their lead to 30 and held on to hand the Lancers a painful 95-66 loss.
