GAME FLOW
The Lancers came into the game hoping to keep the momentum going after a huge win over the nationally ranked Guelph Gryphons last weekend. This game was highlighted by some great defensive play, including three interceptions in the first half alone.

Windsor's defense started exactly where they left off last week by forcing a huge interception by Liam Hoskins. This interception set up a 20-yard Sam Richardson field goal to put Windsor up 3-0 early. After two short drives, the Lancers' special teams unit forced the Marauder offense to work in difficult field position. Windsor's defense took advantage of the bad field position and forced yet another interception. From there, Girard connected with Matthew James on a TSN Top Ten worth catch and following a rouge, the blue and gold led 11-0 at the end of the first.

The second quarter consisted of back and forth defensive play that highlighted the Windsor's ability to create pressure on the opposing offense. A pair of Marauder field goals cut the Windsor lead to five but the hosts headed into the half up, 11-6.

McMaster came out firing on all cylinders in the second half, running up twelve consecutive points to take an 18-11 lead midway through the quarter.

McMaster's Allin broke off big plays, yet Lancer running back David Adeniran responded with a 21-yard gain that resulted in a big drive for the Lancers. Girard would take a late hit that saw a McMaster ejection that put the Lancers into scoring range. Adeniran capped off the drive with a powerful one-yard run for a touchdown to end the quarter.

The Lancer defense continued to pressure throughout the fourth quarter, swallowing up the Marauder offense every chance they could.  An 11-yard field goal put the visitors up 21-18 with 4:30 left in regulation. Windsor got the ball back with 2:33 left on the clock, and David Adeniran would power rush for two consecutive first downs, while also effectively getting the Lancers in field goal territory. Sam Richardson would attempt a field goal that was blocked, but the Lancers would catch a break after an offside call on the Marauders have Windsor a first and goal opportunity. Another two Adeniran runs resulted in yet another field goal attempt that sent the game into overtime, tied 21-21.

McMaster converted their drive into a 43-yard field goal to start the overtime, and take a 24-21 lead. A pair of McMaster penalties landed the blue and gold on the 21-yard line, where Girard connected with Callin Bethune for an electric walk-off touchdown to give the Lancers the win.
