The Lancer women's basketball team went into their contest Wednesday night looking for their first win of the season. Windsor held strong throughout the game but fell 64-61 in the final minutes of the game.
Windsor is now 0-3 as they head into their second home game of the season this Saturday.

Waterloo's Vanessa Hughes led the team with 16 total points and Maddy Adams had 12 total points.
GAME FLOW
In the first half of the game, Windsor played a strong defense holding the Warriors to just under a 30 per cent field goal percentage in the second quarter and took advantage of openings through the Waterloo traffic. Carey made a stunning 3-pointer right before the buzzer in the first quarter to close the gap to one point. Despite the strong defensive effort by Windsor, Waterloo found extra opportunities to extend their lead and at the half led the Lancers 37-27.
The second half continued with the same pace as both teams kept up with one another. Although the Lancers stood their ground on the defensive side to prevent further shots, the Warriors had the extra edge and their offense found opportunities to take the win, 64-61 in the last few seconds of regulation.
