The No. 9 Lancer men's hockey team fell 4-2 to the visiting York Lions in the first round of the OUA playoffs on Wednesday night at the Capri Pizzeria Recreation Complex.

Sean Olson scored the Lancers two goals, and goaltender
Nathan Torchia made 40 saves on 43 shots faced.

Brayden Buziak, Lucas Breault, Benjamin Evanish, and Brock McLeod scored for York, while goaltender Cole Ceci was a wall in net, turning aside 37 shots.

GAME FLOW
With both teams firing on all cylinders, both squads had trouble finding the back of the net. York would score first as the period with just under four minutes remaining in the frame.

York would strike again at 7:34 of the second period to go up by two. Defensemen
Ryan Barbosa would get the blue and gold on the board at 9:33 of the period. Windsor would continue to trail by one, 2-1, heading into the third period.

It would only take eight seconds for the Lancers to score the equalizer as
Sean Olson came in clutch for Windsor. The Lancers continued to fight throughout the period, but were stopped at every turn by Ceci. The Lions again went up by one before sealing their victory over the top seeded Lancers with an empty net with under two minutes remaining.
