Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Windsor drops road contest to Lions in Toronto

Still recovering from illness, the Lancer men's soccer team fell 3-0 to the host York Lions on Sunday afternoon in Toronto.

The loss moves the Lancers to 0-2-0 early in the 2022 season.

GAME FLOW
Despite their illness, the Lancers started the game out physically to challenge the Lions. The hosts were called on four offsides before being hauled down in the box. Lancer goaltender Brandon Gaudreau made a tremendous save on the ensuing kick to keep the game tied at zero.

The game remained tied until the 38th minute when Joey Mac scored for the Lions to make it a 1-0 game. York struck again five minutes later to take a 2-0 lead heading into the half.

For the second straight game the Lancers had a goal called back in the second half, this time in the 69th minute. The Lions would then secured the win in the 75th with their third goal of the game.
