Following their first win of the winter season, the Lancer men's basketball team looked to extend their winning streak on Friday night against the No. 4 Queen's Gaels in Kingston, ON. Despite the Gaels leading for most of the match, the Lancers put up a good fight and took the game right to the final buzzer, falling 93-92.

STATS
Registering an OUA career high, Najee Brown-Henderson led the blue and gold with 39 points.

GAME FLOW
In the opening frame, the Lancers came out of the gates fast as they got up first on the scoreboard. However, the Gaels would remain grounded as they quickly took the lead. Brown-Henderson went all in past the Queen's traffic to make a shot in the paint and shortly after, three back-to-back long-range shots to try to close the game. The Lancers trailed 35-25 after the first.

The second quarter saw the physicality increase between the two teams as conflict began to arise and Daniel Cummings was sent to the line for two baskets. Throughout the quarter, the Lancers struggled to convert offensively but were able to stay out of any foul troubles. After Windsor called a quick timeout, the blue and gold came out with more consistency in their shots, yet still trailed 58-41 at halftime.

The third quarter saw the visiting Lancers gain momentum, unwilling to give up. Brown-Henderson would make another two baskets after the Gaels were called for their fifth foul in the quarter. Anthony Mensa made a block and with 27 seconds remaining, Lorenzo Barbieri hit a three to close the gap to nine and the blue and gold headed into the last quarter, 74-65.

The final quarter saw both teams continue to battle as Windsor looked to close out the match on top. Thomas Kennedy made himself a strong presence on the court as he drove in for a jumper and shortly after, Xavier Ochu stepped back for a three outside the perimeter. Quinn Carey shot within the paint brought the Lancers to within 6-points of the nationally ranked with 32 seconds left in regulation, Windsor and Queen's came down to the wire with the Gaels hanging onto their 93-92 lead with a block on Thomas Kennedy's game winning shot.
