The men's soccer team saw the pitch twice this weekend, facing the McMaster Marauders (2-2) and the Laurier Golden Hawks (0-0).

While the Lancers were on the road Friday, the team returned to Alumni Field on Sunday for Senior's Day to recognize their graduating athletes who are playing in their final regular season home game. Graduates of the men's soccer team this year include defensemen
Kishon Cornwall and
Domenic Campana, forwards
Giovanni Magliaro and
Wazwama Kazhila, goalkeeper
Isaac Lucas and captain
Robert Oates. The seniors had outstanding careers at the University of Windsor and are wished the best of luck in the future.

HOW IT HAPPENED FRIDAY
The blue and gold started the weekend on the road for a game under the lights against the McMaster Marauders. McMaster kicked off the scoring in the 18th minute of play, but the Lancers bounced back less than 10 minutes later to tie the score as
Frankie Facchineri found the back of the net on a penalty kick.

In the second frame, fans were kept on the edge of their seats as the teams battled back and forth. Things heated up in the 90th minute of play as
Wilchrist Abdo crossed the ball to
Devin Hernandez who fired it in the Marauder goal to take the lead. However, in injury time McMaster had a last-second strike to level the score. Each team added one point to their weekend total before going into Sunday's match.

HOW IT HAPPENED SUNDAY
The men's soccer team took the action back to Alumni Field on Sunday for their last regular season home game against the Laurier Golden Hawks.
Robert Oates and
Noah Branco led the Lancer attack, each having solid offensive chances.
Devin Hernandez then joined the charge, almost putting one away in the 30th minute of play as he chased down the ball for a chance on an open cage. Although the first half saw no score, the blue and gold were knocking on Laurier's door, eager to bury one between the posts.

The second half was a similar scene as fans eagerly waited for the double goose eggs on the scoreboard to be cracked.
Elyjah Robertson and
Skyler Pinnock each drove through the midfield to set up the Lancer counterattack.
Robert Oates also had a notable chance in the 70th minute, launching a thunderous curler toward the Golden Hawks' goal. Despite a hard-fought battle, both teams would come up empty handed on the scoreboard.
