Thomas Kennedy made Lancer history becoming the men's basketball all-time leading scorer on Saturday night at the Toldo Lancer Centre.
Â
Thomas finished the game with 16 points to move himself into the category's top spot, finishing his OUA career with 1479 points. He surpasses Lancer great Enrico Diloreto who played for the Lancers from 2009-14,and previously held the record with 1477 points.
Â
Kennedy needed only fifteen points heading into the game to reach the milestone, and at half-time only had four points on the scoresheet. A solid second half propelled him to the top of the leader board and kept the blue and gold in a tight game against the visiting Guelph Gryphons.
Â
Kennedy was recognized with
Josis Mikia-Thomas in a pre-game ceremony as the two athletes played in their final regular season game on home court, as both will graduate this spring.
Â
Windsor fell to Guelph 74-73 in the final seconds of the game to close out their regular season schedule.
