On Sunday, the Lancers men's soccer team hosted the Brock Badgers for an afternoon match at Alumni Stadium, and fell to the visiting Badgers 5-0.
Â
HOW IT HAPPENED
The first half of the game saw a strong Badger attack which left the Lancers trailing by three at halftime.
Although the Lancers saw no score,
Noah Branco and
Robert Oates each had brilliant scoring opportunities in producing powerful headers that went just shy of the Badger goal.
Â
In the second frame,
Devin Hernandez showed great creativity in the midfield to set up the blue and gold's counterattack.
Grant Ferguson also had a solid defensive showing, standing on his head to protect the shield in Lancer territory.
Â
Despite Lancer efforts, the Badgers managed to find the back of the net twice more and mark the final score as 5-0. Â
